A boutique accountancy firm in London is seeking a Semi Senior Bookkeeper or Trainee Accountant. You will manage your own client portfolio focusing on bookkeeping and VAT returns, with training provided for accounts preparation. Are you a Semi Senior Bookkeeper or Trainee Accountant with a focus on bookkeeping and VAT returns, looking to join a niche West End accountancy firm which specialises in working with high profile Creative, Media, Entertainment, Theatre, Fashion, Film & TV and Art Gallery clients? The office environment is relaxed and informal, sociable, and offers a great work life balance. The firm is recruiting a new Semi Senior Bookkeeper / Trainee Accountant in a newly created position (October 2025) where you will manage your own portfolio of clients and, initially, mainly carry out bookkeeping and VAT assignments. After around 6 months you will be trained to prepare Ltd company statutory accounts, corporation and personal tax returns, and management accounts for your client portfolio. You will primarily use cloud-based software such as Sage One and Xero, as well as CCH for accounts production.

• At least 2 years’ experience working in an accountancy firm, with bookkeeping assignments and VAT returns.
• Experience of accounts preparation and tax returns is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
• Likely studying for a professional qualification (AAT or ACCA).
• Excellent communication skills, self-starter attitude, ability to work in a team and independently.
• Proactive mindset and ability to adapt in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
