Qualifications

  • Part-qualified ACCA/ACA or AAT Level 4 qualified.

Are you an ambitious Semi Senior Accountant looking to take the next step in your career within a growing and supportive accountancy practice? Our client, a well-established firm in Romsey, is looking for a part-qualified ACCA/ACA or AAT-qualified professional to join their friendly team.

The Role:

As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting a varied portfolio of clients, assisting in accounts preparation, tax compliance, VAT returns, and bookkeeping. You will also gain exposure to audit work (if desired) and work closely with senior accountants and managers to develop your technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Assisting in the preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns
  • Bookkeeping and management accounts for clients using Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Supporting with audit assignments (if applicable)
  • Liaising with clients to provide advice and assist with queries
  • Working towards ACA/ACCA qualification with full study support provided
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Part-qualified ACCA/ACA or AAT Level 4 qualified
  • Experience in an accountancy practice (1-3 years preferred)
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and tax compliance
  • Experience using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or other accounting software
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to build client relationships
  • Motivated to continue professional development and progress within the firm
