Overview
To be a key part of the Security department's leadership team, working to ensure that a safe and effective service is delivered to patients, staff and visitors at all times of the day and night. To be the primary point of contact for our Security Officers and clients to offer advice and leadership in all aspects of Security for the site.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and line management as part of a team that delivers 24-hour security cover, offering a high-profile, visible service throughout the Trust and Site.
- Protect NGH property against theft and vandalism and secure all buildings within the site.
- Assist clinical staff to achieve positive clinical outcomes where required, including contributing to medication delivery and supporting the management of patient and visitor behaviour.
- Maintain up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of the site and its workings, and demonstrate peerless customer service skills.
- Keep detailed and accurate department records.
- Attend relevant training as required.
- Use access control systems and review CCTV and IT requirements.
- Provide out-of-hours cover for fire alarm liaison and swipe card support.
- Out-of-hours cover for additional security duties as required.

- Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust is on an exciting journey through collaboration with Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHN). There may be a requirement to work across both Kettering and Northampton hospital sites depending on service needs.
