Salary: £36,901.50 – 42 hours on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Maternity cover - 12 months fixed term contract.

Job objectives and responsibilities
- Provide exceptional leadership and direction in the management of the Security Team responsible for supporting and managing all centre operations during retailer trading hours.
- Provide clear and timely communication to all within the centre and management on key issues that affect business operation and customer service delivery.
- Ensure the interests of our client, their guests and retailers are fully protected at all times and conduct yourself accordingly as their representative.
Main duties
- Oversee the live operation of the MITIE Security Team that manages essential functions of:
- All common and public areas of the shopping centre
- Emergency and evacuation procedures
- Health, safety & welfare of security personnel
- Incidents that affect Centre Operations
- Building security and safety
- Leadership and direction to security personnel on duty
- Provide timely communication to centre management and MITIE management on incidents and centre operations, including:
- Incidents that occur on or affect the centre
- Serious incident tracking and management
- Absence & lateness reporting
- Officer misconduct
- Ensure all incidents are logged and managed through to completion; investigate and report accordingly.
- Manage personnel deployment on the Mall, Car Park and Service Yards; allocation during events.
- Provide senior management support outside core hours as requested.
- Complete and verify all Accident and Health & Safety reports and entries to Safeguard.
- Oversee Centre Lock Down / Un-lock procedures.
- Conduct weekly audits on all security activities and ensure compliance with equipment checks and retail standards.
- Be fully conversant with equipment workings and ensure standards match centre requirements.
- Ensure Assignment Instructions and SOPs are followed; raise corrective actions where needed.
- Maintain standards of dress, safety and presentation for the MITIE security team.
- Provide ongoing training and coaching to staff; ensure site training and signed Assignment Instructions.
- Conduct 121s and appraisals for all staff; assist in recruitment for the centre security team.
- Arrange regular meetings with the Senior Security Team; handle day-to-day enquiries relating to security operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with applicable local agencies and services.
- Any other reasonable request from management or client.

- Holder of a valid Door Supervisor licence.
- Holder of a valid PSS (CCTV) licence.
Health and Safety responsibilities
- Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
- Report any deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may impact safety or service delivery.
- Use all work equipment and PPE properly and in accordance with training.
- Report issues or training needs to your Line Manager or via the incident reporting system.
Information Security
- Ensure compliance with Mitie\'s information security procedures in all activities.
- Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager.
