Job description

(37 hours per week / 52 weeks per year). 38 days paid holiday per year. Membership of the LGPS Pension Scheme. NEST pension is available under a flexible benefits package.

Responsibilities
  • Provide security and caretaking duties across the college premises, ensuring safety of staff, students, and visitors.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to address a wide range of security issues.
  • Respond efficiently to urgent security and caretaking matters.
  • Assist with manual handling of large items.
  • Maintain flexible working approach, covering additional hours and overtime to cover annual leave.
Qualifications
  • Experience and vocational competency in a security or similar role.
  • Front‑line SIA qualification.
  • Full UK driving licence (manual transmission vehicles advantageous).
  • Ability to manually handle large items.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
Employment terms
  • Full time: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
  • 38 days paid holiday per year.
  • Membership of LGPS Pension Scheme.
