About the Role

Security Manager

Salary: £45,000
Location: Yeovil
Hours: Monday to Friday (42 hours). 07:30 - 16:30.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of operational site security.
• Lead a large team of security officers in delivering a first‑class security service.
• Conduct and monitor staff appraisals, encouraging further development.
• Oversee staff training and development.
• Manage rota planning.
• Implement policies, SOPs, AI’s, emergency preparedness, etc.
• Lead incident management and response.
• Safeguard assets, including people, buildings and information.
• Assist with long‑term strategic planning of the security function.
• Oversee the operation of security systems.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Property and Facilities teams.
• Conduct risk assessments and threat analysis across the estate.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience managing the delivery of operational security.
• A people manager with experience leading large teams (15+).
• A passion for service excellence.
• Experience implementing security strategy and policy – SOPs, etc.
• Experience positively engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Full driving licence.
• Ideally, hold an SIA licence.
