Job summary

Job description

You'll be responsible for managing the site setting‑out team and be responsible for the performance and development of the Site Engineers and also for identifying and resolving technical problems on site in liaison with the Sub‑Agent. Monitoring and coordinating subcontractors in the performance of their works, ensuring they are completed to the contractual requirements. Ensuring that the team have all current information and resources required to carry out their duties, you will be required to assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting., EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Agroman and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe's latest high speed rail projects.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the site setting‑out team and oversee the performance and development of Site Engineers.
  • Identify and resolve technical problems on site in liaison with the Sub‑Agent.
  • Monitor and coordinate subcontractors to ensure works meet contractual requirements.
  • Ensure the team has up‑to‑date information and resources to carry out duties.
  • Assist in the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting.
  • Report to the Sub‑Agent and supervise the site engineering team from construction to close‑out.
  • Assist with temporary works design schemes and liaise with the Sub‑Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials.
Qualifications
  • HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent, and working towards ICE membership.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
  • Experience in utilities, earthworks, heavy structures or drainage is essential.
  • Valid CSCS card (Black, Gold, White, White/Yellow, Red Experienced or Red Provisional (6 months)).
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
