Job description

A welcoming, inclusive and forward-thinking secondary school in Coventry is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers looking for long-term cover, supply work, or a pathway into a permanent role within a supportive and collaborative Science department.

The Role
  • Planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated Science lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience welcomed where applicable)
  • Supporting students' understanding across Biology, Chemistry and Physics (specialism considered)
  • Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress to raise attainment
  • Creating a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment with high expectations
  • Working collaboratively with the Head of Science, technicians, Teaching Assistants and wider staff
  • Adapting teaching strategies to support students with SEND, EAL or additional learning needs
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • Contributing to enrichment activities, practical investigations and intervention programmes
About You
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred - ECTs and experienced teachers encouraged to apply
  • Confident teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Passionate about Science and inspiring young people to learn
  • Calm, reflective and consistent in their approach to behaviour management
  • A strong communicator and effective team player
