Cover Supervisor (Full-Time/Part-Time, Temporary)

Birmingham - Acock's Green

£90 - £110 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience required for this position is experience in a similar position or 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 5 years.

ABC Teachers are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across our thriving Secondary Schools in Acock's Green and the surrounding areas. This flexible, day-to-day role is perfect for university students, sports coaches, youth workers and anyone looking to take their first step into education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task with their pre-set work. You ll play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting students progress. Our partner schools in Acock's Green are inclusive, supportive and dedicated to providing the best opportunities for their students and staff. Many of our day-to-day placements often lead to long-term or permanent positions, making this an excellent starting point for a career in teaching.

Requirements

The successful Cover Supervisor will have;

• A confident and adaptable approach to classroom management
• Strong communication skills
• Ideally some experience working with young people (e.g. coaching, youth work, tutoring)
• Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
