Position Scope

To carry out gardens and estate maintenance duties, as directed, ensuring that the resort is at all times presented in the best possible condition.

Essential Functions

• To maintain the gardens and grounds, ensuring hotel, spa , lodges and clubhouse areas are maintained to the desired standards on a daily basis. Shrub beds and borders to be maintained as directed.
• General maintenance duties; grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting and weeding as directed.
• Maintain high standards of customer care at all times.
• Understand the Trump Turnberry policy on Health and Safety and to ensure that all duties performed are carried out with full regard to the safety of customers, visitors, contractors and other employees; work within the Health & Safety, COSHH, Risk Assessment and HAVS assessment guidelines at all times.
• To operate grass cutting machinery safely and effectively; care and maintenance of machinery and the reporting of loss or damage to the Workshop Manager according to policy and procedure.
• To accept training and instruction to further skill set.
• Any other duties that may be required on the golf courses or around the estate

Candidate Requirements

• Self-motivation and projecting a positive approach to work.
• The successful candidate will have good communication skills, be a team player with a keen eye for attention to detail with the abilityto understand and carry out instructions
• Reliable.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretchwith use of manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
• Position requires walking; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
• Evidence of working outside throughout all seasons is desirable
• Literate & numerate
• Driving license (desirable )
