Overview

Four seasonal Countryside Rangers are sought to join Glasgow City Council’s Greenspace and Biodiversity Group. The roles involve working with local communities and volunteers to identify, plan and deliver projects that create, restore and manage natural habitats in our parks and open spaces across the city.

Responsibilities include site survey and assessment, developing projects and delivering them with local volunteers and community groups.

Requirements
  • Seasonal posts lasting 24 weeks from October 2025 to March 2026, with weekend working required.
  • Ability to work well with people from a range of backgrounds and to work safely with volunteers in outdoor settings.
  • Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Note that candidates will be required to pay for their PVG Membership or Scheme Checks.
