STEM Learning Assistant

Ruislip, Hillingdon

ASAP Start

An excellent secondary school located in Ruislip, Hillingdon are looking for a motivated STEM Learning assistant who is a graduate to be able to work with children on a one to one basis and in small groups. You will be expected to work with KS3/KS4 students. The school highly values the importance of academic knowledge and are wanting to recruit someone who shares this ethos.

Responsibilities
  • Support children's learning up to GCSE level.
  • Adapt lesson planning to individual children's needs.
  • Make observations and carry out target setting instructed by the teacher to improve progress.
  • Work with teachers to support the STEM departments and support children in their attainment and progress.
  • Assigned a form group to manage/support and work alongside the teachers.
Qualifications
  • Degree preferred in STEM subjects - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Enthusiastic and creative approach to learning.
  • High levels of professionalism.
  • Legal right to work in the UK, willing to attend registration interview.
