Overview

Science Technician

Location: Tameside

Start Date: Immediate start

Job type: Full Time contract, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm.

Salary: £110 - £140 per day (depending on experience.)

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, preparation and cleaning of laboratory equipment
• Organisation and maintenance of efficient storage systems for equipment and materials
• Prepare and provide equipment for lessons
• Preparation of laboratory solutions
• Stock control including preparing lists of replacements as required
• Assist with completing and collating statistical returns
• Assist with the maintenance of Science Department administration systems
• Reprographic work as required
• Support learning and teaching and develop relationships across the school and the community

Requirements

• Qualification or training relating to Science Technician role
• Maintenance, preparation and cleaning of laboratory equipment
• DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Providing two professional references
