Overview

Science Teacher – Immediate Start: September 2025

Outstanding Secondary School – Location: Croydon

£(Apply online only) per day. Free CPD and constant support with interviewing.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons for students at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, question, and experiment.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies and methodologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilise innovative resources, technology, and practical demonstrations to enhance the learning experience and stimulate interest in science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, assessments, and educational programs that align with national standards and promote academic excellence.
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individualized learning goals through targeted interventions and enrichment activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and stakeholders to promote a culture of collaboration, respect, and academic success.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities to contribute to the school community and personal growth.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Science Education.
  • Specialization in one or more science disciplines (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) with a strong foundation in all three.
  • Proven experience teaching science at the secondary level, preferably in a UK school setting.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for education, innovation, and lifelong learning.
