Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Science Specialist Teacher to join a trusted secondary school in Deal. Covering a full Science timetable (ideally 5 days per week), this short-term role is expected to run for at least 4 weeks/Term 1 with a strong likelihood of continuing. This school is keen to ensure students benefit from subject-specialist teaching in Science rather than general cover.

Responsibilities

• Teach a full Science timetable across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 advantageous)
• Deliver engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and achievement
• Support student progress and maintain high expectations in the classroom
• Planning and marking negotiable (higher rates available if included)

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK
• Experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools
• Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
• Classroom management skills and adaptability to short-term cover roles
• Ability to start ASAP and commit for at least the first 4 weeks (likely longer)
