Job Title: School Receptionist (Long-Term Temp)
Location: Dulwich
Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay: £13 per hour
Contract Type: Ongoing Temporary Assignment

About the Role

We\'re looking for a confident, proactive, and highly capable School Receptionist to join a thriving school in Dulwich. This is a long-term temporary role in a very busy and varied environment - ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys being at the heart of the action.

Every day will bring something new, and you\'ll need to be quick-thinking, adaptable, and ready to handle anything from safeguarding queries to last-minute schedule changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for all visitors, parents, and students - delivering a warm and professional welcome.
  • Manage a high volume of calls, emails, and face-to-face enquiries with efficiency and care.
  • Support with attendance tracking, student records, and general admin duties.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Assist with first aid, emergencies, and pastoral support when needed.
  • Liaise with staff, external agencies, and contractors to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Stay calm and composed in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
What We\'re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, ideally in a school or similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong IT skills (SIMS experience is a bonus).
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • A flexible, can-do attitude and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in an educational environment.
