Job summary

A regional healthcare service is seeking a dedicated School Nurse to deliver a person-centred nursing service for vulnerable school-aged children in Isle of Whithorn. Plus, Distant Islands Allowance of £1,406 per annum
37 hours per week
Permanent post

The post holder will provide an accessible, person centred effective school nursing service for vulnerable school aged children who have been identified as being at risk and requiring additional support. This will be achieved by working in partnership with children, young people, families, carers and partner agencies.

A continuous focus on prevention, early intervention and support will prevail and concentrate on the ten priority areas under overarching themes of vulnerable children and families, mental health and wellbeing, and risk taking behaviours.

The post holder will work within a team but will be responsible for a caseload and function as an autonomous practitioner by virtue of in-depth knowledge, expertise, experience and proficiency.
