Cambridgeshire Community Services 0-19 Healthy Child Programme (School Nursing) invites you to join our team. The role is to work as part of a team leading the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme. The School Nurse promotes good health and prevents ill health in young people, families and communities by identifying unmet health needs, initiating, developing, implementing and evaluating plans of care. The School Nurse will work within a defined area, assess needs, delegate and supervise work within the team. They promote early intervention, health promotion, advocacy, empowerment, social inclusion and the reduction of health inequalities. They work in partnership with young people, families, schools, communities, primary care, statutory and voluntary services and other partner agencies to facilitate health‑enhancing activities. The School Nurse also establishes networks within the community to inform, influence and implement policies affecting health outcomes. To ensure accessibility and quality of our services, we offer a Duty Desk service for all families with children aged 5–19 years residing in these areas.
