Role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to support a range of school sites in Plymouth, with occasional travel to schools in Cornwall and Tiverton. This is a hands-on, varied role that is vital in helping us maintain safe, secure, and welcoming school environments.

  • Carrying out general maintenance and repairs across multiple school sites
  • Conducting statutory building checks (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Acting as a keyholder and attending emergency callouts when required
  • Identifying and resolving maintenance issues proactively
  • Coordinating with contractors and ensuring health & safety compliance
  • Supporting larger tasks that require teamwork across sites
What We’re Looking For

We want someone who is:

  • Experienced in a similar maintenance or caretaker role.
  • Skilled in DIY and general maintenance tasks across multiple trades.
  • Organised, motivated, and able to manage a busy workload across different locations.
  • A great communicator who can work well with school staff and other stakeholders.
  • Flexible and proactive, with a can-do attitude.
  • Driving is essential for this role. Ideally you will have access to your own vehicle, but we also have a fleet of company cars available for use when needed.
