School HR Assistant - South Birmingham

Are you an organised, people-focused professional looking to make a real impact in a school environment? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated School HR Assistant to join a thriving educational setting in South Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and a passion for supporting staff and pupils alike.


The Role

As a School HR Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of HR processes within the school. Your responsibilities will include:



  • Supporting recruitment processes, including advertising roles, shortlisting, arranging interviews and completing compliance checks.

  • Managing staff personnel files and maintaining accurate HR records.

  • Assisting with the onboarding of new staff and ensuring all safeguarding and vetting procedures are completed.

  • Supporting absence reporting, staff attendance monitoring and payroll administration.

  • Acting as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from staff and external partners.

  • Providing general administrative support to the senior leadership or HR teams as required.
