SCADA Architect / Engineer

Location

Remote with occasional travel to the client site in Edinburgh.

Inside IR35

Umbrella Rate £550.00

£800.00 depending on experience.

We are seeking an experienced SCADA Architect / Engineer to enhance the performance of our critical Operational Technologies (OT) applications. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operational systems, contributing to the development of strategic asset management plans, and maintaining high standards of technical expertise. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of OT infrastructure and applications, as well as a collaborative mindset to work with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive continual performance improvement of OT applications to minimise service disruptions.
• Act as Design Authority for OT Infrastructure, authorising developments and collaborating with application suppliers.
• Approve architectural changes and oversee Operational Acceptance Testing for business-critical OT Applications.
• Mentor and support RTS Technical Engineers, ensuring they have the necessary technical knowledge to deliver effective service and project engineering.
• Maintain and develop personal expertise in Platinum, Gold, and Silver level OT Applications (e.g., PowerOn, PI, ODMS) and contribute to documentation and standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external service providers to analyse and resolve significant operational application issues in alignment with established Service Level Agreements.
