The role
What will you be doing?

Position: Sales Support Specialist
Location: Remote with some UK travel

At Unum UK we are looking for a Sales Support Specialist to support with new and existing business, servicing Key Brokers and clients to strengthen the relationships.

This role is a bridge between sales, brokers, clients, and operations, ensuring smooth onboarding, proactive pipeline management, effective campaign execution, and strong retention strategies. It combines administrative precision, relationship management, and commercial awareness to drive growth and support the business plan.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Broker & client support: Act as main contact for brokers and new clients, handling queries, training, and relationship building.
  • Quotations & proposals: Prepare Dental & Health Plan quotes, cleanse data, and support client presentations and RFPs.
  • Sales pipeline management: Track leads, opportunities, and renewals in Salesforce; produce monthly reports on quoted/lost business.
  • Campaign & marketing support: Collaborate with marketing to design, implement, and evaluate sales campaigns.
  • Retention & growth: Support renewals, upsell/cross‑sell opportunities, and win‑back strategies for lost cases.
  • Competitor & market analysis: Gather insights, track trends, and contribute to maintaining a market‑leading product.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with both Dental & Health Plan team, Sales Consultants, Account Managers and Operational Teams to deliver consistent customer service.
  • Reporting & meetings: Produce management information for internal/external use and participate in weekly team reviews.
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong customer service experience with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent prioritisation, planning and organisation skills.
  • Strong administration and IT skills, including knowledge of MS Office.
  • This role may involve some UK travel.
  • You may be required to work outside of normal core hours from time to time.
