Sales Executive - Construction

Remote-based (with office in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire)

Salary : circa £35,000 + Company Car + Benefits

We are recruiting for a leading UK manufacturer of innovative systems used in groundworks, foundations, and sub-structure construction. They are seeking a motivated Sales Executive to join our team and drive growth across the UK construction sector.

Be the face of a brand in the field — visiting customers, builders' merchants, contractors, and project sites across the UK. You will support and grow our established customer base, uncover and win new business opportunities, and collaborate closely with production, transport, and finance teams to deliver a smooth, professional sales process from initial enquiry right through to delivery.

Responsibilities – Sales Executive - Construction
  • Manage and develop strong, long-term relationships with existing customers and merchant accounts, identifying opportunities to increase sales.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout the UK construction industry.
  • Conduct regular external visits to customers, merchants, contractors, and active project sites.
  • Track projects from enquiry stage, prepare accurate quotations (including take-offs from drawings), and follow up diligently to convert opportunities into firm orders.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and serve as the primary point of contact for all customer enquiries and support needs.
  • Liaise effectively with the production team to guarantee timely manufacture and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate transport logistics, raise purchase orders, and manage deliveries and collections to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, process sales orders, and handle general sales administration efficiently.
  • Support the wider team to achieve collective sales targets and contribute to business growth.
  • Build broad product knowledge across the Naylor Group portfolio and develop effective working relationships with sales colleagues in other divisions.
Qualifications / Experience - Sales Executive - Construction
  • Experience or solid understanding of the construction industry.
  • Ambitious and eager to build a successful career in field-based sales.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with customers face‑to‑face and visiting sites.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • IT literate — proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM / order processing systems.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential due to extensive travel).
