Overview

Our client, who operates in the construction/retail sectors, is looking to recruit a Sales Estimator for their team to work on the technical side of the business and support the projects team. This role enables the sales team to maximise customer contact time and increase sales. The position is full-time, permanent, located in Devizes, office based. Salary £35-45k DOE.

Being the Sales Estimator, you will require strong technical knowledge in estimating within the construction industry or a similar field, as well as proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-off of manual and CAD drawings to estimate project requirements.
• Complete estimate schedule spreadsheets to ensure accurate pricing.
• Collaborate with clients and architects to clarify project specifications.
• Create CAD drawings for pricing and presentation purposes as needed.
• Liaise with Customer Services and Purchasing departments to ensure a smooth transition from estimate to order stage.
• Progress orders from estimate to Proforma stage.
• Produce CAD drawings for production purposes and customer sign-off.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, architects, designers, main contractors, and sub-contractors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience in estimating within the construction industry or a similar field.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and CAD software is essential.
• Reasonable ability in CAD software.
• Excellent time management skills and knowledge to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Demonstrated experience working with up-market wealthy clients and handling demanding clients.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
