A local medical practice in Pinxton seeks a Salaried General Practitioner for 4 sessions/week to deliver comprehensive medical care to patients through face-to-face, telephone, and home visits. Responsibilities include managing case loads, participating in audits, and adhering to clinical guidelines. Ideal candidates should be GMC registered with experience in primary care and strong communication skills. This position offers £11,500 per session, with potential for increased pay after the probation period.

The delivery of highly effective medical care to the patients via face‑to‑face, telephone, and home visits within The Village Surgery. The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance. Working independently to effectively manage case load and long‑term conditions. Referrals, prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks. Adhere and maintain best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process. Adhere and maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance. Review and adhere to policies and guidelines. Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload. Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice. Contribute towards QOF. Attend and contribute effectively to weekly and monthly practice meetings as and when required. Ensure compliance with the appraisal process. Contribute effectively to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinical governance and training. Ensure your revalidation process is kept up to date. Commit to self‑learning and instill an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team. To help and support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice. Embrace collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly.

The Village Surgery is based in South Normanton and Pinxton. We currently have around 9,500 patients over both sites.
We have a friendly team of General Practitioners, including three partners, a nursing team and admin and reception.
