  • Sound technical knowledge of fire safety, asbestos, building services including heating, ventilation, and electrical services.
  • People management and development experience.

Overview

Over the years, we have won numerous national awards, including being the first national Housing Provider to achieve the combination of holding the RoSPA Gold award for Customer Safety and BS9997 accredited. This role is part of Property where you'll help us to lead the way investing and maintaining 46,000 homes.

Responsibilities
  • Apply the principles of BS9997 across all our activities on building safety.
  • Build and maintain a dynamic building safety strategy.
  • Accountable for the delivery of project objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Ownership of the final plan for activities relating to building safety.
  • Guide our procurement and contract delivery activities to ensure our contractor network delivers the highest building safety standards.
  • Provide expert advice on emerging legislation.
  • Build and manage relationships with procurement consortia, consultants, contractors, statutory authorities, and other public bodies.
  • Report on monthly, quarterly, and annual performance.
  • Review resilience and risk factors to ensure robustness in our building safety processes.
  • Degree educated in a property related subject, have a relevant professional qualification or be qualified by experience.
  • National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent).
