The team.. ITV distributes both our own ITV Studios produced and acquired programmes and formats worldwide. The Royalty Payments team is responsible for reporting to producers, broadcasters, other stakeholders and contributors for their shares of the profit that is generated from these sales. The team is part of central Finance Operations and provides support to ITV's content distribution arm, Global Partnerships. The Royalty Payments team also collaborates closely with colleagues in Talent Payments, Rights, Business Affairs and Finance.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary subject matter expert for royalty processes, policies, and operational workflows.
- Provide specialist knowledge on royalty calculations, recoupment, advances, splits, rights, territories, and deal structures.
- Translate royalty business requirements into detailed functional specifications for Alliant and Rightsline.
- Collaborate with business teams, IT teams, and system vendors to ensure accurate system design and configuration.
- Support the creation and validation of system configuration relating to royalty rules, product hierarchies, rights metadata, and payment terms.
- Assist in data migration by reviewing, validating, and reconciling historical royalty data and contract terms.
- Develop and execute UAT scenarios to ensure the system performs correctly across all royalty processes.
- Document new workflows, processes, and system behaviours for training and operational readiness.
- Provide training and guidance to business users ahead of go-live.
- Support issue resolution and provide expertise during testing, cutover, and stabilisation phases.
Qualifications and Experience
- Significant professional experience in royalty operations, rights management, contract administration, or a closely related function.
- Demonstrable hands‑on experience working with royalty and/or rights management systems (e.g. Alliant, Rightsline, or equivalent platforms).
- Proven involvement in system implementation projects, including activities such as requirements gathering, testing (UAT), process design, or data migration.
- Strong working knowledge of royalty and participation structures, including calculations, advances, recoupment, splits, rights, territories, and deal terms.

- Ability to translate complex royalty business requirements into clear, structured functional or technical specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, particularly when interpreting contracts and resolving system or data issues.
- Confidence working as a subject matter expert, providing authoritative guidance on royalty processes and best practice.
- Clear, adaptable communication style, able to engage effectively with both technical teams and non‑technical business stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating across business, IT, and third‑party vendors to deliver accurate system outcomes.
- High level of attention to detail, particularly when validating data, configurations, and royalty rules.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, project‑based environment.
- Willingness and capability to support training, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness ahead of system go‑live.
