Banana Moon Colchester is recruiting for a Nursery Room Leader.
As a Nursery Practitioner Room Leader, your key responsibilities include:
- Planning the curriculum with your team in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Providing a warm, caring atmosphere for children.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting the management in leading the team.
- Supporting the operation of nursery facilities to ensure high-quality education and care.
- Ensuring adherence to Banana Moon policies, legislative requirements, and educational standards to achieve excellent inspection outcomes.
- Training, mentoring, and supervising staff to promote best practices.
- Creating a safe, welcoming environment where children can thrive and parents feel confident entrusting their children.
- Promoting the nursery's reputation through community engagement and excellent customer service.
- Acting as a designated co-ordinator relevant to your skills, as assigned by the Nursery Manager.
Available full-time schedules include:
- 10-hour shifts
- 8-hour shifts
- Day shifts, Monday to Friday
- Overtime and weekend availability
Nursery Practitioner responsibilities include:
- Safeguarding children and supervising them at all times.
- Building strong partnerships with parents and providing feedback on children's progress.
- Taking on key worker duties, observing and planning for children's needs, and delivering stimulating activities.
- Tracking progress using our Parent App.
- Adhering to nursery policies and procedures.
