Overview

A friendly and well-established nursery in Worthing, West Sussex, is seeking a room leader to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role and support a dedicated team in delivering high-quality early years education. Location: Worthing, West Sussex. Hours: Full-Time (Shift pattern: 7:30am-4:00pm or 9:30am-6:00pm). Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour (depending on experience & qualifications). Contract: Maternity Cover - Fixed Term.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a room team to provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS
  • Support children’s development through observation, assessment, and tailored learning
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and wellbeing
What we’re looking for
  • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare
  • Previous experience in a nursery setting, ideally in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A warm, proactive, and team-focused approach
