Room Attendant, Hotel Du Vin

Rate of Pay / Hours

Overview

Working as part of the Housekeeping team you will ensure all guest bedrooms within the hotel are cleaned on a daily basis to the highest of standards. You will have an eye for detail and naturally high standards to meet our guests expectations of a perfect night’s stay.

Hotel du Vin provide a range of luxury and boutique hotels in 18 landmark locations around the United Kingdom. Synonymous with style and hospitality, Hotel du Vin offers exquisite accommodation with a relaxing atmosphere throughout our chain of hotels along with sumptuous food and wine in our trademark Hotel du Vin Bistros.

Working as a Room Attendant you will be interacting with our Guests so conversational English is essential, as is the ability to work on your own for periods of time. You will be a vital cog in the Hotel Du Vin machine ensuring all bedrooms are clean and tidy for our guests arrival and continued stays.

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy guest bedrooms and ensure high standards of cleanliness on a daily basis.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet guest expectations of a perfect stay.
• Interact with Guests; conversational English is essential. Ability to work independently for periods of time.
• Support flexible shift patterns and adapt to early start times if required.
• Complete training in the use of chemicals and cleaning equipment provided by the employer.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience in a similar role is not required, but a positive attitude and desire to make a difference within the hotel is essential.
• Good physical fitness to perform the duties of the role.
• Ability to work set shifts (typically 9am – 3pm, 5 days out of 7) with flexibility for start times (9am – 10am). Discussion of earlier start times or flexible contracts can be made at interview.
• Full training provided on the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Progression & Apprenticeships

We actively encourage internal development and progression. Hotel Du Vin is on target to have 100 new apprentices in the business by year end. Candidates for this position would be given the opportunity to enroll on our apprenticeship scheme after probation.
