A healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Nurse Practitioner for their CAMHS Eating Disorder Intensive Treatment Day Service. This part-time role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, care planning, and support for young people experiencing eating disorders. Applicants should hold a valid Mental Health Nurse registration and ideally have experience in eating disorder services. Flexible working options may be available.
Maternity Leave cover Band 7 RM NURSE- CAMHS Eating Disorder Intensive Treatment Day Service for 15 hours per week 18 August 2025 - 17 August 2026. Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a passionate, knowledgeable and dynamic senior nurse to join our new CAMHS Eating Disorder Day Service. The clinical model is in development and will be based on the Maudsley Intensive Treatment programme. The service will have capacity to support 10 young people each day. Key service aims include:
You would be part of an MDT, consisting of Nursing, Psychology, Dietician, Support Workers, Medics and Occupational Therapists. Knowledge of Eating Disorders and CAMHS is preferable. The successful candidate would be responsible for leading the day-to-day coordination of the unit as well as providing specialist nursing assessment, formulation and care planning. All members of the MDT will be trained in the Maudsley model of Family Therapy and form part of a care team delivering this intervention. There will also be one to one work with young people. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing individual and group work and will provide supervision and professional support to relevant colleagues. You will support service development through service evaluation and audit, as well as bringing new insights through research and keeping up to date with developments in the field.
Ideally you will have prior experience of working with eating disorders and experience of using therapeutic models associated with this client group.
