Role Overview

We are looking for a diligent, energetic and aspirational individual to support the business through a period of significant growth. This will be a critical role in implementing and embedding the company’s Risk Management Framework. The candidate will collaborate with the wider business to enhance risk management processes, identify current and emerging risks and champion a strong risk and control culture.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management Framework

• Work closely with the business to implement and embed the company’s Risk Management and Risk Appetite Frameworks
• Deliver risk management training to the wider business to enhance risk awareness
• Support colleagues in identifying, assessing, managing and monitoring risks in line with the company's risk appetite
• Support the identification and reporting of emerging risks
• Ensure that key risk and control metrics are overseen, tracked and reported effectively
• Support risk assessment for future Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and the implementation and alignment of the risk management framework and associated reporting through M&A integration projects

Governance and Board Support

• Provide regular reports to governance committees on existing and emerging risks, including assessment of their potential impact and likelihood, with mitigating actions
• Support the business in the development and maintenance of regular risk reporting, in line with the risk management and risk appetite frameworks, to support timely and informed risk based decision making

Candidate Profile

Experience and Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar Risk Management role.
• Experience in developing and embedding risk management and risk appetite frameworks across the business
• Experience in supporting and collaborating with business functions to identify, manage and report emerging risks
• Experience in producing and delivering risk management training across businesses
• Experience designing and delivering risk based governance reports
• Works well with teams, collaborating across functions and builds strong relationships with colleagues at all levels
• Degree-level education is preferred but not essential with the right risk management experience
