A local government council is seeking a Risk and Assurance Manager to lead the development of its risk management framework, ensuring statutory compliance and effective risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will have experience in risk management and governance, demonstrating leadership in training and providing guidance across the council. This position offers an inclusive work environment with opportunities for flexible working and job shares.
The Risk and Assurance Manager role is part of the wider Internal Audit, Risk Management and Insurance Team at Calderdale Council, charged with ensuring that the local authority operates efficiently and effectively, meeting its statutory requirements on the use of its resources and delivering services that improve the lives of the people who live and work here.
