Job summary

A leading recruitment company in Peterborough is seeking Mechanical Fitters for shifts day and night. Responsibilities include maintenance and repairs of on-track maintenance equipment, requiring keen attention to detail and experience in similar roles. Successful candidates must be able to work shifts and pass medical tests. Competitive pay of £33.00 per hour offered with a contract until December 2025.

Overview

Mechanical Fitters – Peterborough – Days and Nights – 9 hours a shift – 5 on, 5 off – average 40 hours a week – £33.00 an hour inside IR35 – Contract until December 2025

Become an integral part of a team helping to keep the rail network clear of leaves and ice during the autumn period.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance and repairs to on track maintenance equipment
• Helping to check equipment following maintenance processes and document all work carried out

Qualifications / Candidate

• Experience of carrying out maintenance and repairs
• Will have worked on cars, vans, trucks or motor bikes etc
• Must have a keen eye for detail
• Must be ok working shifts
• Must be able to pass a medical and drug and alcohol test
