Overview

Do you thrive on a new challenge and enjoy working as part of a small, dynamic team where no two days are the same? The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is looking for a Retail Operations Officer to join our team in Stratford-upon-Avon.

You’ll be a key member of the team that supports our diverse commercial operations, from our physical retail shops and cafes to our e-commerce platform. We need someone who is organised, creative, and ready to jump in and support a wide range of tasks.

Responsibilities
  • You’ll handle a variety of administrative duties processing invoices and managing licensing relationships to ensure timely payments.
  • You will support the Retail Operations Manager with statutory requirements for fire, security, health & safety, and cash handling. You’ll also maintain hospitality compliance, ensuring required food standards and allergen records are kept up to date.
  • You’ll use our retail management system, to ensure inventory and stock control are correctly configured and updated.
  • You’ll be responsible for keeping all licensing and image sales paperwork and files organised. You will also advise on the copyright status of images and manage copyright clearance for commercial use, staying up to date on relevant issues.
  • You’ll be involved in our commercial marketing output, which means you’ll play a vital support role in keeping our channels fresh. This includes accurately posting content to our social media accounts, creating newsletters and ensuring in-store materials such as point of sale are maintained and accurate.
