Overview
Do you have what it takes to make the shelves irresistible to shoppers? Do you have a knack for spotting what looks good and creating eye-catching displays? Do you have an eye for detail? At eXPD8, we’re looking for a Retail Merchandiser based in the FY4 4UJ area. You’ll be an integral part of a field-based retail merchandising team, working on behalf of exciting household name brands. Please note that although you will be based in one area, there are work opportunities across a variety of different stores.
You will be responsible for ensuring the fixtures are set up effectively, products and promotions are displayed attractively, and the shelves are well-stocked.

Role location and schedule
Role based in Tesco Blackpool area, with work across a variety of categories including: Toys. Confirmed working days/hours: 5.5 per week. Sunday 10:30-16:00. Plus ad hoc work as agreed.
Responsibilities
- Compliance and Standards – follow merchandising standards and guidelines, store policies and procedures, and health and safety guidance.
- Planogram execution – follow and implement planograms to ensure consistency and compliance with merchandising standards.
- Product Placement and Replenishment – arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
- Promotional and Point of Sale Setup – set up promotional displays and signage to effectively communicate prices, discounts, and offers.
- Communication and relationship building – build and maintain good working relationships with in-store colleagues, particularly department and store managers.
- Feedback – provide accurate and timely feedback to client account teams via our feedback application, acting as the eyes and ears in the stores.
What makes you excellent
- Experience of, or a passion for, merchandising, retail and/or customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take ownership of your own work within set time frames, using initiative to find solutions.
- Pride in delivering great standards and service for clients.
- Comfort with some manual handling to move and arrange products from warehouse to shopfloor.
- Willingness to accept home deliveries of point of sale or stock items for some visits (paid extra).
- Confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos, and answer questions about tasks.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car is a bonus.
