Job summary

A local support services provider is looking for passionate Residential Support Workers in Poole. This casual role involves providing flexible care to children and young adults with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Successful candidates will collaborate in a supportive team, working various shifts and ensuring the welfare and development of the young people. Qualifications

• Experience with Emotional Behavioural Disorder, Social/Residential Work or Youth Work would be advantageous.
• Willing to learn and complete a DBS check.
• Must be able to accept direction and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Promoting, safeguarding and protecting the welfare of young people.
• Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with young people.
• Covering shifts as needed including sickness and annual leave.

Skills

Experience of working with children and young people

Excellent communication and listening skills

Flexibility in availability

Ability to work as part of a small team

Education

Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent

Full UK driving licence
