We are now seeking an ambitious and skilled Resident Doctor to join our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) – a unique opportunity to work in one of the country’s most prestigious settings.

Responsibilities

You’ll be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, providing intensive care in our 9-bed PICU and 5-bed HDU, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting ward rounds and delivering day-to-day patient management
  • Responding to emergencies as part of the Paediatric Emergency Response Team (airway management, intubation, chest drains)
  • Supporting two PICU Consultant teams (Medical & Surgical)
  • Managing pre- and post-operative care, including congenital cardiac surgery cases
  • Engaging in audits, projects, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • GMC registration with completion of Foundation training
  • Minimum 5years’ post-graduate experience in Paediatrics, including PICU
  • MRCPCH – Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health
  • ALS certification with proven competency in emergency paediatric ICU presentations (airway management, stabilisation, critical care interventions)
  • A collaborative approach and a passion for patient-centred care
