Job description

We are looking to appoint a Research Support Administrator within the School of Management's busy Research Office. This is a varied role involving daily communication with academic staff, other School and University teams, and visiting academics.

Responsibilities
  • The role involves managing the School's Research and Knowledge Exchange Committee, with responsibilities including:
  • Monitoring and supporting the activities of our eight Research Centres
  • Managing applications from visiting researchers
  • Taking minutes and preparing paperwork for meetings
  • Assisting in organising research seminars and events, updating webpages, and liaising with stakeholders throughout the School and wider University
  • Providing high‑quality administrative support within a busy Research Office, supporting research activity and committee processes
  • Being highly organised, able to manage and prioritise a varied workload accurately and to tight deadlines
  • Communicating confidently and professionally, building effective working relationships with academic staff and colleagues
  • Using strong IT and information management skills to maintain records, databases, and webpages
  • Working proactively and flexibly, learning new systems quickly and contributing positively to the wider team
Qualifications
  • Full‑time, fixed‑term role (36.5 hours per week) for 12 months
