Summary

Requirements:

To be considered, hold professional registration as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPC).

Key Responsibilities:

Provide clinical services adhering to professional and hospital policies.

Promote responsible, safe, and cost-effective prescribing.

Lead pharmacy staff professionally and clinically.

Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Record clinical interventions in line with departmental policy.

Attend various meetings as required and participate in rota duties.

Skills and Experience:

2 years in a clinical pharmacy role within a hospital.

Palliative care experience.

Post-registration experience in a hospital setting.

Substantial multidisciplinary communication experience.

Ability to develop policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Accurate clinical, dispensing, and checking abilities.

Experience in drug cost issues.

Medication counseling experience.

Multidisciplinary working, including with private patients.

Analysis and application of complex clinical and financial data.

Effective staff motivation and management.
