Overview

The Quality, Environment & Assurance Reporting and Analytics Manager will shape and lead the strategic vision for how we maximise value through our systems, processes and data across the Directorate and influence the wider organisation. You will ensure that all reporting and analytical activity upholds the highest standards of impartiality, while unlocking greater value from our data to inform decision‑making and strengthen performance. In this role, you will cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team culture, championing continuous improvement in both our practices and our systems. Through clear development pathways and empowering leadership, you will motivate the team to deliver excellence and innovation. You will build trusted relationships with regulators, continually enhance our data systems, and drive forward improvements in our systems, processes and reporting. By leading the team to extract meaningful insights and maximise the impact of our data, you will help ensure our scientific and regulatory teams operate at full capacity, maintaining impartiality, resilience, and consistently high‑quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute a strategic vision for transforming the Reporting and Analytics team into a high‑performing, industry‑leading function.
  • Establish a clear analytics product roadmap that aligns with business priorities while ensuring full compliance with all reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and integrate robust monitoring programmes and sampling strategies to enhance data quality, operational assurance and decision‑making confidence.
  • Champion continuous improvement across management systems, driving innovation, efficiency and consistent high standards.
  • Provide expert regulatory guidance and technical support to stakeholders across the organisation, strengthening governance and operational integrity.
  • Safeguard organisational impartiality by building strong processes, transparent workflows and a well‑structured team that upholds independence and trust.
