About the role

We are currently looking for a Reporting Analyst with a passion for digital transformation who will establish, consolidate and unify data to support the Sales, Marketing and Innovation leadership.

The role will be tasked with the production of trusted, transparent and robust enterprise data that enables fact‑driven decision making, including responsibility for data completeness and data integrity.

The role requires creative ways of mapping and connecting data sets as these are sourced from various different systems. The data warehouse is under development so the successful candidate will be a self‑starter keen to develop business knowledge and build a framework that makes sense out of the available data.

Key responsibilities
  • Identify, clarify and document business requirements in order to deliver the most suitable reporting solution.
  • Find a way to transform and join data from multiple sources to a well‑defined and governed data environment (datamarts in Power BI).
  • Ensure data quality checks are in place to detect data incompleteness and guarantee data integrity.
  • Ensure a security model is in place to allow access to different users at the right level.
  • Develop, test and deploy reporting solutions and enable their automatic generation.
  • Create and maintain documentation of the reporting solutions in terms of calculations, method and terminology definition.
  • Create training materials and train the different stakeholders and users of the reporting solutions to ensure they know how to use the reporting tool and understand how to analyse the data.
  • List, prioritise and handle user requests in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Establish a user community for the ongoing development of the reporting solutions.
  • Engage with business owners and users and understand how data‑driven change requests can improve efficiencies and add value.
  • Partner up with IT and contribute as a reporting expert to future data‑driven initiatives.
About you
  • Experience in creating business requirements documentation and process mapping.
  • Understanding of the metrics used for key performance indicators as well as experience in forecasting and performance analysis.
  • Experience of operating within a project management framework (milestone creation, progress reporting, resource and cost analysis).
  • Understanding of data models and data sources to identify interdependencies with other company functions, systems and tools.
  • Ability to create visibility and resolutions to overcome barriers in alignment and reconciliation, facilitate exchange across functions and address and solve detected challenges.
  • Knowledge and proven experience with Cognos, Power BI, MS Access or other reporting tools with an understanding of how data can be transferred between systems with ETLs or interfaces through SQL or Python.
  • Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to deal with stakeholders at each level of the organisation.
  • Fluent in English written and spoken.
