Job description

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and highly experienced planning team, playing a key role in keeping repair and maintenance work running smoothly across the Thames Valley. You will sit at the heart of operations, coordinating field teams, managing schedules, and working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to support essential services.

What you’ll be doing as a Repair and Maintenance Planner
  • Planning and allocating repair work to Repair and Maintenance teams.
  • Managing day-to-day schedules, including reactive and planned work.
  • Monitoring Gantt plans and adjusting workloads as priorities change.
  • Circulating whereabouts and schedule updates to Supervisors.
  • Raising NST tickets to support planned, reactive, and emergency work.
  • Reviewing and updating permits and related housekeeping activities.
  • Managing e-digs and in-day work completion.
  • Carrying out customer call backs where required.

Base location : Reading, Kemble Court (RG2 6AD) or Kidlington (OX5 1QT). This is a hybrid role with two office days per week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Working hours

8am to 4pm

What you should bring to the role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidence building effective working relationships with field teams and stakeholders.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
  • An understanding of clean water networks would be desirable but not essential.

This role will be paid up to £29,000 depending on skills and experience.

24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 with the length of service. (plus bank holidays)
