Qualifications

  • GMC registration and specialist training in General Internal Medicine before interview.
  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to UK CCT in Renal Medicine required.
  • Higher training in a dedicated specialty training scheme.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the hypertension service and develop the service.
  • Manage a cohort of haemodialysis patients and run a general nephrology clinic.
  • Contribute to education of trainees and quality improvement.

Skills

Ability to lead, communicate, liaise and negotiate
Thorough knowledge of medical audit and best practice
Experience in running a hypertension service
Ability to manage and lead a clinical team

Education

Entry on the GMC Specialist Register
MRCP (UK) or equivalent Qualification
MD, PhD or equivalent
