About the role:

Our community pharmacies play a key part in caring for the health and wellbeing of our customers and members. As the largest Co-operative Pharmacy group, our pharmacies offer so much more than just exceptional patient care! From prescriptions and flu vaccines to podiatry, we’re passionate about looking after the health needs of our patients.

This is a key role in fulfilling the wider needs of our pharmacy branches, by supporting the provision of pharmacy services remotely. We are looking for an innovative and driven pharmacist to join our passionate team, where you’ll play a key role in the future of pharmacy services.

Whilst working in a remote setting, you will provide a range of services over the telephone to our patients, placing an emphasis on customer care. As a key figure in the local community, you’ll be making a real difference to the health and wellbeing of your customers and members. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities
  • Acting as a support point for our pharmacies through conducting remote service consultations via telephone and/or video call, supporting patients with medication adherence, addressing any concerns or side effects, and providing evidence-based advice in line with NHS guidelines.
  • Communicating effectively with healthcare professionals regarding prescriptions, suggesting changes or alternative treatments when appropriate.
  • Assisting patients in managing long-term conditions by providing guidance on medication adherence and lifestyle modifications.
  • Providing information about potential side effects and answering any questions patients may have about their medications.
  • Promoting wellness by educating patients on preventive health measures and offering advice to support their overall wellbeing.

About You

We are looking for a professional, driven and adaptable Pharmacist who has a genuine passion for health care and who is keen to develop in their role and career. Additionally, you will need to have:

  • A Master’s degree in pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent, and you’ll also need to be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Confidence in providing expert health advice, whilst possessing the ability to oversee and manager operations.
  • A commercial eye for building upon, and supporting the development of our Healthcare Services.
  • An adaptable approach to dealing with a range of roles from all angles.
  • Enthusiasm and drive to champion your own learning and development.
  • We require you to travel within this role; you will need a full driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle fully insured for business use.
