A healthcare provider is seeking a part-time Advanced Nurse Practitioner to deliver care through econsultations and telephone appointments. Key duties include conducting clinical assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing protocols for digital consultations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience and a master's degree in Advanced Practice, alongside strong communication and problem-solving skills. This role primarily operates remotely, contributing to improved patient access to healthcare.
We are looking for a part-time Remote ANP as a new salaried team member to work predominantly at Bramley Village. We are looking for the staff member to join us on a Thursday and Friday to provide cover at the back end of the week.
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) focusing on econsultations is integral to enhancing access to healthcare through digital means. This role involves managing electronic consultations (econsultations), providing high-level clinical assessments, advice, and treatment recommendations primarily through online platforms and telephone appointments. The ANP will work under the guidance of and in collaboration with, other healthcare professionals to deliver timely and effective patient care remotely.
Key responsibilities include conducting thorough clinical assessments via econsultations and telephone calls, diagnosing conditions, prescribing medications or other treatments, and referring patients to other services when necessary. The role demands a high degree of clinical expertise, excellent judgement, and proficiency in using digital health tools to manage patient care efficiently.
The ANP will also play a critical role in the development and implementation of econsultation protocols and guidelines, ensuring they align with national standards and best practices. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to handle complex information, and a commitment to providing patient-centred care in a virtual environment.

EConsultation Management:
Clinical Assessments via eConsultations: Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of patients using eConsultation tools. Evaluate patient symptoms, medical history, and any other relevant information provided through the digital platform.
Diagnosis and Treatment Planning: Utilise clinical expertise to diagnose health conditions based on eConsultations. Prescribe medications, suggest lifestyle changes, or recommend further diagnostic tests as appropriate.
Referral Coordination: Refer patients to other healthcare services when more detailed investigations or specialist care is needed, ensuring a seamless transition from virtual to in-person care.
Protocol Development and Implementation:
eConsultation Protocols: Develop and implement protocols for managing eConsultations, including guidelines for patient interaction, assessment procedures, and follow-up care.
Quality Standards: Ensure that eConsultation practices meet national clinical standards and best practices to provide high-quality, patient-centred care.
Training and Support: Provide training to other healthcare professionals on the effective use of eConsultation systems, enhancing the practice's overall capability to manage patient care digitally.
Patient Communication and Education:
Patient Guidance: Instruct patients on how to use eConsultation services effectively, including how to submit information and what to expect during and after the consultation.
Health Education: Deliver targeted health education and advice during eConsultations, empowering patients to manage their health proactively.
Follow-Up Care: Arrange or advise on appropriate follow-up care, including further consultations, tests, or in-person visits, ensuring comprehensive patient management.
Record Keeping and Data Management:
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all eConsultations, including patient communications, assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Data Security and Privacy: Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements regarding data security and patient privacy while managing eConsultation records.
Outcome Monitoring: Track and analyse the outcomes of eConsultation services to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and guide improvements in the service.
Collaboration and Professional Development:
Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including GPs, nurses, and other specialists to integrate eConsultation findings into overall patient care plans.
Continuous Learning: Keep abreast of developments in digital health and eConsultation technologies, as well as advancements in clinical practice that impact patient assessment and care.
Professional Contributions: Participate in professional forums and contribute to scholarly articles or presentations on the subject of eConsultations and digital patient management as it evolves.
