Job Title: Remedial Plumber

Location: Manchester, North West.

Salary / Benefits: £20k – 34k + Training + Benefits

Level of Experience: Trainee Remedial Plumber through to Lead Remedial Plumber

Profile: A multi‑disciplined and well‑established Environmental Company, who provide Local Authority, Healthcare, Social Housing, Industrial, Retail and Leisure clients with the full range of Water Hygiene / Legionella services are now looking to take on a qualified and competent Remedial Plumber based in and around the Manchester area. The ideal candidate will hold the City and Guilds L2/L3 in plumbing and will have experience signing off on plumbing work, fault finding / diagnosing and using PDA / Tablet system to produce site‑specific reports for clients. For the successful candidate our client can offer a competitive salary rate, fuel card and company vehicle and competitive holiday days.

Experience & Qualifications

• Must hold the City and Guilds (NVQ) L2/L3 in plumbing
• Will hold time spent as a Remedial Engineer for another established Legionella/Water company.
• Will have extensive experience carrying out remedial plumbing works on a mixed portfolio of sites.
• Will have excellent communication skills and will be competent in using PDA / Tablet system.
• Will have excellent knowledge of relevant Health and safety Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Installing and rerouting copper and PVC pipework.
• Utilising a G3 certificate (if held) to undertaking servicing and installs of Cylinders.
• Expansion valve installation.
• Carrying out CWST refurbishments and installs.
• TMV servicing and installs.
• Dead leg removals and pipework rerouting.
• Finding faults and diagnosing on site and dealing with them in a timely manner.
• Signing off and checking over any plumbing works that have been carried out on site.
• Liaising with clients to build and maintain excellent working relationships.
• Ensuring that work is being carried out in line with ACOP L8 / HSG 274 guidelines.
