Reliability & Improvement Engineer (Process) – Bridgwater, Somerset

Shift Pattern: Days Monday – Friday, 38 hours

About the Role:

As a Reliability & Improvement Engineer within our process team, you will be a key driver of operational excellence. You’ll focus on improving the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of our production processes, applying structured problem-solving and best practice methodologies to deliver long-term value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion reliability and process best practices in collaboration with the Process Engineering Manager.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste, improve yield, and increase equipment and process uptime.
• Coach teams in reliability tools, root cause analysis, and process improvement techniques.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings through enhanced reliability, energy reduction, and improved efficiency.
• Support training and capability building to embed a culture of reliability and improvement.
• Use CMMS systems (IDhammar/SAP) and process data to drive analysis and targeted action planning.
• Apply structured testing and measurement techniques to mitigate failure risks.
• Share best practices across the site and wider organisation to standardise and raise performance.
• Maintain a strong Mechanical/Electrical/Process engineering foundation with knowledge of automation and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures at all times.
• Contribute directly to production KPIs, efficiency targets, and sustainability goals.

What We’re Looking For:

• A proactive and passionate engineer with a background in Process Engineering.
• Experience in reliability, process optimisation, or continuous improvement in FMCG, food, or drink manufacturing ideally.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering measurable improvements.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage, coach, and motivate cross-functional teams.
