  • Creating ceded reinsurance billings.
  • Loading Reinsurance Contract data onto the system.
  • Raising Premium Payment packages for vendors.
  • Reviewing and confirming details on the systems.
  • Chasing Brokers for reinsured recoveries.
  • Liaising with Brokers, Underwriters, and Claims.

Overview

Reinsurance Technician/Underwriting Assistant - Reinsurance Contracts Data Entry, Ceded Reinsurance/Outwards Reinsurance Premiums, Credit Control, Underwriter Support; MS Office, Word, Excel, Insurance Systems; City of London/Remote Hybrid (2-3 Days Onsite). Temporary Contract, 9 months + c.£150 - £250 p/day on experience (c.£39k - £65k Equivalent) (PAYE/Umbrella).

Global insurance company seeks Reinsurance Technician/Underwriting Assistant work within their EMEA Reinsurance Division supporting outward, ceded reinsurance placement post bind.

The focus of the role will be surrounding the contract registrations into various systems post-bind and supporting underwriters and reinsurance analysts in the delivery of their services:

Responsibilities
  • Creating ceded reinsurance billings and issuing to Brokers
  • Loading Reinsurance Contract data onto the internal reinsurance system
  • Raising Premium Payment packages for external vendors
  • Reviewing and confirming all details on the systems are in line with the contract
  • Chasing Brokers and partners for reinsured recoveries
  • Liaising with Brokers, Underwriters, Claims and core Credit Control dept
Qualifications / Experience
  • 3+ years\' experience in Insurance/Reinsurance; Experience in Credit Control, a technical Reinsurance role or Underwriting Assistant role ideally with some exposure to international Reinsurance
  • Familiarity with Insurance/Reinsurance Contracts/Slips/Wordings including commissions and gross written premium calculations (Desirable)
  • Familiarity with using Mainframe systems and processes (Desirable)
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and MS Teams
  • Able to work within a small team and manage own workloads and priorities to set timelines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
