About the job Registered Veterinary Nurse | West Sussex

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a well-established and supportive team at a busy veterinary practice in Crawley, West Sussex. As part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to both patients and clients while working in a fully equipped, modern environment.

Hours:
We offer flexible working patterns:

  • Option to work five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts
  • Weekends on a 1 in 6 basis

Team Structure:
You will be joining a dedicated team consisting of:

  • 2 Veterinary Surgeons (including a new graduate)
  • 1 Head Nurse
  • 2 Student Nurses
  • 1 Veterinary and Client Care Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent nursing care for a range of animals, including routine and emergency cases
  • Assist in surgical procedures, diagnostic imaging, and treatments
  • Support the veterinary team in consultations and client care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and provide timely updates to clients
  • Deliver high standards of animal welfare and promote a positive experience for pet owners
  • Help with day-to-day running of the practice and assist in training student nurses

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with RCVS membership
  • Enthusiastic and compassionate individual with a passion for animal care
  • Strong communication skills, both with clients and the team
  • Previous experience in a veterinary practice is preferred, but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
